Our Practice

GenNext Performance LLC was founded in 2007 by Kim R. Wells, in response to the high demand for his unique and highly successful process of coaching senior executives, emerging corporate leaders, government professionals, transitioning professionals and more. Kim is a certified executive coach who has over two decades of experience transforming the careers and lives of his clients that have participated in his coaching process, conference seminars, and speaking engagements.

Since its launch, GenNext Performance LLC has evolved into a premier executive coaching and performance services firm with an elite cadre of executive coaches, instructors, consultants, and advisors. The GenNext team includes global executives, corporate strategy and branding leaders, technology strategy advisors, and retired senior military officers.

In additional to leading GenNext Performance LLC, Kim is the nationally recognized and esteemed Executive Director of Executive Education and The Center for Career Excellence at the Howard University School of Business. Programs under Kim's leadership include the Executive MBA Program, the Center for Career Excellence, The Executive Coaching Certification Program, the Global Executive Leadership Program, and the Executive Leadership for Ministers Program. At Howard Kim coaches and instructs some of the world's top corporate and community leaders, MBA and undergraduate students, and leads recruitment and professional development programs with many of the world's leading corporations.
 
Kim's experiences have also included executive coaching and performance consulting with premier global strategy firms that have included Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Resource Opportunities Inc., Vantage Human Resource Consulting and Universum Communications. Kim has privately coached executives and corporate clients from around the world, including China, Netherlands, France, Nigeria, Morocco, and Trinidad and Tobago. Kim has also served on multiple professional advisory boards that have included the National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE), Monster.com, Interview Stream, the White House HBCU Career Development Committee, and as President of the Maryland Career Development Association. Kim has also been an advisor to multiple HBCU and Minority Serving institutions in online education, corporate partnership development, institutional branding and marketing strategies, and establishment of premier career education services. 
 
In addition to decades of coaching experience and leadership research, Kim completed his Master's degree at Howard University in Organizational Communications with a concentration in Strategic Corporate Communications and Development, and his Bachelor's degree at the College of New Jersey. Kim completed his executive coaching certification with the Howard University School of Business Sherpa Executive Coaching Certification Program (an ICF recognized training program), and executive leadership certificate programs with the Wharton School of Business Executive Institute, and Cornell University. Kim is a proud native of Princeton, New Jersey and he and his family currently reside in North Potomac Maryland.
